We are at the start of a search for an experienced Supervising Social Worker in our agency. We are prepared to pay a good salary for the right combination of experience and passion for the work. We are looking for a high calibre front line case worker ideally with some therapeutic and or assessment experience. If we need to we are prepared to wait for someone who is already in a role to complete their notice rather than rush for the most available candidate.

Our small team (9 of us) is mix of cultures and ages but we all have one thing in common, a sense of humour and a professional outlook that means we work for each other and the clients we serve. We can rely on each other to do our best because we are all accountable to each other but we can also rely on each other for support when we ask for it. The criteria are necessarily different as listed below:
We are based in Surrey Quays, the role has casework in mainly in South, North and East London area. With a typical caseload of 12 families. We reward loyalty and productivity and staff say that like the work environment here. The interview process will involve all of our staff so candidates can reference this if they are selected.
The role has the flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.
Essential:
- At least two years post qualifying social work experience that is family related with completed ASYE, valid DBS and HCPC registration. (child centred)
- Must have more than two years experience of fostering in a supervising social worker role
- Able to illustrate a high level of social work competence and assessment skills
- Employment history must include a role held for more than 18 months preferably over two years (loyal)
- Experience with using electronic systems for case recording (we are paperless organisation)
Desirable:
- Real life experiences that add to their theoretical knowledge (worldly)
- Additional fostering related training especially therapeutic or counselling related training very desirable (committed to foster parent development)
We Offer:
- Salary £36-43k depending on competency and experience level demonstrated. We base this on previous salary plus 10% which we will reference.
- In addition a productivity bonus depending on caseload to £7200.

The interview process will be CV review/telephone interview/ full day assessment centre. Start date would ideally be August but earlier if the right candidate is available before that for familiarisation.
